Missed Payment of $13 for 24 months. How bad is this on a credit score?

Long story short…

I closed my mobile account with Telus 2 years ago, or so I thought and moved to Rogers.

Recently; I was rejected from a leasing loan due to low credit score.

I was surprised because I make payments on time for my visa, line of credit and student loans.

I do hold a higher balance on my credit card, but bills are paid on time.

The question I have is this.

Would 24 months of missed payments to Telus at $13 effect my score this much? When I called telus they immediately waived this payment and officially closed the account. Should I dispute this with the credit agency?

My score is 575.

I do hold a decent amount of debt on the visa, but I also make regular payments and never have missed a payment outside of this.

I also had a car loan for 3 years which just ended last month, never missed a payment there.

Also, never have missed a payment on the line of credit.

Any ideas?

Thanks! B
