I’ve received 2 Amex gift cards but cannot use it anywhere. Any suggestions?

I'm in Canada.

I received 2 AMEX gift cards and it's active according to their website when I check the balance. I can enter the card details, code, etc. and use it just like a credit card.

I cannot seem to use it anywhere. Not at POS or online. Spoke to Amex customer service and they said the cards have been issued in US and can only be used in US stores or US based online merchants.

Is there any legitimate US based online merchants that I can use these Amex gift cards that ships to Canada?

Or is it better to sell these at a lower cost to someone who frequents to US?
