Basically, I didn’t change my billing information for my insurance policy after switching banks. I missed payment for 2 months and didn’t realize (I was just assuming the $ was being taken out of my new account). TD insurance, my provider, cancelled my policy for non-payment. Once I was notified of this, I swiftly paid the overdue balance in full.
Then, when I just tried to purchase a new policy, I was told I had to pay my full premium upfront (over 2,000 dollars). As a student, I cannot afford that at the moment (although I work part time, my position limits me at 15 hours maximum until the summer which starts in May for me). Is there any way I can purchase a new policy without having to pay in full? Any way I can amend my insurance history to give some context to the policy cancellation?
Thank you
