I recently started taking control of my life, I've been trying to keep it together and become a responsible 27 year old adult.
I can't figure this out and people around me are not useful when it comes to talking about finances.
I started working as a LPN in Quebec at a hospital making a minimum of $2600 a month.
I usually do 1 overtime bi-weekly just to have more cash on me, so I end up making $3000/month, obviously, leaving me around $400 left to my name.
I made a table underlying what I pay for
This is not including my CC debt of around $1200, which I'll pay it off with additional overtime. And I've stop spending money more money until CC is paid off. The rest such as utilities, property taxes, groceries is shared between the rest of the family.
Mortgage | $1821 |
---|---|
Transportation (fuel and metro pass) | $240 |
Insurance (house and car) | $179 |
Internet | $114 |
Financing | $110 |
Phone plan | $46 |
Entertainment | $32 |
Total | $2543 |
My goal is to start investing long term, but I have no Emergency Fund. How do I start building a E.F.? How much should save so I can start investing? How do I grow my wealth overtime?
I thank you in advance for your time.
