Unpopular opinion. The 5th palace isn't that bad

Yeah I know, I must be pretty stupid for liking okumuras palace. But in my personal opinion, it gets way too much hate. Is it perfect? Well no, but it's nowhere near as bad or hard as everyone makes it out to be.

I enjoyed every single palace and all the puzzles in them, both in the original and royal, so obviously I'm very biased with this opinion as it is. Regardless I think people desperately try to hate on it, almost as if they don't try or purely just don't understand how it works.

The airlock puzzle for example, at first glance it probably looks overly complicated, drawn out and just straight up not fun to navigate. Now I can understand why people hate it, it's very easy to screw up and you can get lost in it if you aren't paying attention. But the solution is very straight forward. The 2nd section can literally be summed up as activating 2 specific levers, obviously there are 4, and all you have to do is activate the 2nd and the last one you get to, then follow a pretty linear path, if all you want to do is get out of there anyway. Now I'm not gonna claim I'm some pro gamer or something, because I'm not, but going through it in the original and royal I never struggled once with it, it seemed pretty simple pretty early on once you get the hang of it. I think in royal less people struggle with it now, but it still gets alot of hate all the time. Compared to other puzzles in the game, it's very short and doesn't out stay it's welcome, and the solution is very straight forward once you know, so I personally don't see the issue.

And the other thing I wanted to talk about is the okumura boss. I'll say it right now, the boss is pretty meh. It obviously stands out compared to pretty much any other boss in the game. But it's not so bad once you know how it works and you come prepared, which you can say about literally any boss fight in any video game ever. Not everything is going to be a walk in the park, and when you get a challenge you should understand that you aren't going to win the first time all the time. At the very least you have many options for taking down okumura that makes it less of an issue than it has to be. Compared to other bosses that atlus have done in other games, okumura is still pretty fair to an extent. Changing the difficulty to merciless helps, leveling up abit more might, maybe having better personas will get you more damage output, and using baton pass is very optimal.

This post isn't made to shame people, and I'm not claiming that my opinion is fact either. But the ammount of people who hate this palace all because they get stuck is pretty ridiculous. It's the biggest meme in the community at this point. If you hate it you are a noob, if you like it you are a liar and a bunch of other stupid shit that goes around. Now I will say that most of the other palaces are way better, but in no way would I still call okumuras bad.

TL;DR This is my opinion, and I understand if you think I'm an idiot, but I'm sick of seeing the hate and it's almost beyond a meme to the point it's sad. Thank you for your time.
