What if I'm not doing Akechi and Kasumi arcana ?

Hi !
I'm currently playing P5R. I knew from the start that I had to get Maruki to rank 9 before a certain day in november to get access to the new semester. But what about Kasumi and Akechi ? Some website say that I had to grind their too. Akechi to 8, Kasumi to 5.
It's a bit late now for me to do it... Will I miss the new semester ?
