Can anyone tell me if this is normal or not?

About a year or so ago the “flow” of my period started to change. I will bleed moderately-heavy for the first 2 days. Once day 3 arrives, it gets much lighter. Some cycles it’s gone from moderate/heavy on day 2 to basically nothing more than spotting on day 3.

It will continue to be very, very light bleeding (I could almost get by with a panty liner) until day 4 or 5 and then it’s done! My period only lasts 4-5 days now.

A few years ago, and for many years prior to that, I would bleed pretty consistently for 6-7 days. The flow wouldn’t really change until the tail end, around day 6.

It’s pretty different now. I’ve always had heavy periods and even though they’re still heavy on day 1-2, I don’t think they are as heavy as they were 3 years ago.
