It's very weird. At first I don't feel anything, then about 30 minutes - 1 hour into my period the pain starts, is quite bad (like I just want to curl up somewhere and not move bad), but 3 hours later it's like a switch is flipped and I feel nothing again. Also if I get my period during the night, the 'clock' doesn't start until after I get up. In that case the pain starts about 30 minutes after I get up instead of from the start of my period.

I used to just take an ibuprofen and then I wouldn't be in pain at all but I've developed medication anxiety and taking it might trigger a panic attack so usually I just deal with the pain.

I just find this pattern very strange. Also my period has always been pretty irregular.
