29F, not pregnant, I have a copper IUD which means my flow is usually heavy (I have to use post-childbirth pads). Last month I was sick with bacterial pneumonia, my last cycle was longer (had delayed ovulation and period) because of that. None of the drugs I took are known to change menstrual flow. Just antibiotics and a very short course of corticosteroid (prednisone 30 mg) for 5 days which I don’t think would be enough to mess with my hormones. Now this cycle my period came on the predicted day but there’s no heavy bleeding as usual, just spotting and very light bleeding. I don’t know if it’s normal after sickness or if I have a health problem. I’m kinda worried about it.
