Need suggestions to fill the hole left by Vikings and House of the Dragon.

Post Body
I know lots of people didn't like the Vikings spinoff that's been on Netflix recently but I absolutely enjoyed it. That said, I'm looking for gritty period drama recommendations. Time period is irrelevant to me, so long as it portrays the grittier, less glamorous aspects of history. Country is also irrelevant, I'll watch anything good.
For context, a few other period pieces I enjoyed are: Ripper Street, Kingdom( Korean), Mr. Sunshine (Korean), Harlots and Vikings
