We already know it solely from the teaser trailers, and even the photos. She embodies every part of Annabethâs character, even from her stances. Her determination, how calculating she is, her genius, her heart. She is Annabeth Chase, her appearance changes nothing. Sheâs perfect. And if you say otherwise, you need to think deep down inside yourself as to why youâre so against the casting of a young black girl.
Personally Iâm not a fan of the Dyeing of characters just to appease one group or another. There were plenty of characters in every series that were non-white and there is zero reasons to change any of them except to pander to modern day âinclusionâ standards. If Riordan had been vague with details or only mentioned them in the initial introductions of characters then yea their race or hair color wouldnât be a big deal but CONSTANTLY throughout the series he talks about character details like eye color, hair color, skin tones, body types, mannerisms and thatâs all done to keep the images in the readers mind vivid and fresh.
