What do I need for freshman year of college marching percussion?

So, I am starting at Furman University in a month. To my surprise, I have been accepted into the Paladin Regiment Marching Band as a percussionist with 2 years of prior experience and never having marched. Everyone accepted gets to play. There's an audition to place me on an instrument. My question is, not knowing what I will play, what should I bring to be prepared? Sticks? Practice Pad? I'm really excited but kind of lost. Any help would be much appreciated!
