Hey, everyone!
I'm clearing some ground for planting in the early spring, and wonder if anyone has any sources that specialize in native plants.
Trees I'm looking for:
Chickasaw plum (prunus angustifolia)
Male/Female Red Mulberry (morus rubra)
Pawpaw (asimina triloba/obovata/parviflora) [cultivars for me, native for the animals]
Vines:
Maypop/Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata)
Shrubs/Flowers:
Wild lacecap hydrangea (hydrangea arborescens)
Florida flame azalea (rhododendron austrinium)
Firebush (Hamelia patens)
Sweet pepperbush/Summersweet (Clethra alnifolia)
Groundcover:
Powderpuff Mimosa (Mimosa strigillosa)
I greatly appreciate your taking the time to read this over, and hope that you can help! Just want to do my part, and promote low-mow Florida Friendly Landscaping.
I have some prickly pear seeds, and I'm stratefying some native persimmon seeds in my fridge- so if anyone has tips for sowing those in the spring, then I'd love to hear what you have to share 😁
