Hello!

I recently moved to the USA from Canada so I'm looking to make a close girl friend! I don't have any local friends and it's been pretty lonely. It'd be great to meet somebody I could hang out with and do our favourite activities together, our hobbies, play games online etc. etc.!

I moved to Pennsylvania because I got married! I'm mainly looking for a platonic best friend that I can spend time with in person because all of my friends are currently online. I'm really craving a best friend that I can spend time with in person at least semi-regularly. However, I'm also interested in something more affectionate if those feelings are there. I'm not looking for any sort of romantic relationship or emotions as I'm married, but a close friendship sounds nice. By that I mean as in stuff like cuddling on the couch looking at memes or watching a movie, kissing, being sweet. Is platonic cuddling a thing? Being physically close with a woman isn't something I'm used to but is something I've always been interested in. BUT, totally platonic friends is also cool! A BFF would be amazing and there doesn't need to be anything beyond a platonic best friend soul mate dynamic.

Some general info about me:

• I love history, politics, social issues, law. I am a big law nerd, I haven't gone to school for it but I watch it all the time on youtube. I love talking about American/Canadian politics but I'm not as familiar with international politics. Museums and art galleries are my fav, and I love antique shop crawling. However I'm still hip and love memes and internet culture stuff.
• My biggest passion is the arts. Painting, drawing, sculpting, sewing, embroidering, writing, digital art. There are many more art styles that look super interesting to me! I also loooove art history and literature. I love music and collect vinyls.
• I recently started going to the gym and there are some sports I'd like to try. Tennis, rock climbing, and hiking all look like things I'd like to do once I have some more strength and endurance.
• I like spending my free time online with my friends, sometimes playing video games if I'm not working on an art project. I use discord to talk so that app is sorta necessary (telegram less). I'm very introverted and anxious socially so I'd like to break out of my shell.
• I have some mental health issues like depression, anxiety, etc., though I have most of that under control very well. Being understanding of anxiety issues is important, and it'd be nice to bond over common issues if you struggle as well.
  In general I am very weird, funny, intelligent, opinionated, caring, affectionate, nurturing. Shy and awkward at the start but a total goof once I warm up. I'm 420 friendly (I smoke). If you are very left wing we may have some differing opinions, but I'm not biased towards anyone like that! I respect differences and don't like to argue over things so it's cool on my end. Being accepting of quirkiness and non-PC humour is important though. If you're curious about the specific dynamic I'm looking for, please feel free to message with any questions.
