hi all. recently a local golf course went out of business, and the rumor is that a solar farm is going to be built on the land. there are now a few houses that have "Keep Solar Out of Our Community" signs in people's yards.
i don't get it, as in, i don't know what's so offensive? it's not like this is a garbage dump, which i could understand not wanting to be put in next door. but... solar? best case, my energy bills go down, worst case... nothing happens? or am i forgetting something or...?
*this is in Lawrence County, so answers specific to this would be appreciated, but i'm also just generally unaware of what the problems are with a solar farm. its certainly no more intrusive than the golf course was.
