Dear Shilly
I'm writing to share some great news about my efforts in Washington to lower costs for Pennsylvania families. Last year, for the first time ever, Medicare began to negotiate with pharmaceutical companies to lower the price of a number of prescription drugs. The new negotiated prices for the first 10 drugs were announced this week.
If you are on Medicare and take one of the following medications, this is how much the price will decrease starting in January 2026:
These new lower prices are the result of the Inflation Reduction Act, which gave Medicare the power to negotiate prescription drug prices for the first time. For too long, the cost of prescription drugs has been like a bag of rocks around the necks of millions of Pennsylvanians, weighing people down every single day. I fought to pass this law to lower those costs and lighten the load that Pennsylvanians are forced to carry for the medications that they rely on.
There's nothing more important to me than understanding how policy changes down in Washington impact people in Pennsylvania. If you or a loved one have a story about what these lower drug costs will mean for you and your family, I want to hear from you. Click below to share.
Share Your Story Link Today's announcement is just the start of the savings coming to Pennsylvanians from the Inflation Reduction Act. Since January, the cost of insulin has been capped at $35 a month for Medicare Part D beneficiaries. Starting on January 1, 2025, out-of-pocket prescription drug costs will be capped at $2,000 for Pennsylvanians on Medicare. In the coming years, Medicare will expand prescription drug price negotiations to include more than 100 of the most widely prescribed drugs, lowering costs even further. The problem is the legislation is jam packed with other dumb shit.

First it gets downvoted by the uninformed and uneducated. I never mentioned any particular party because they both do it
