Jim Thorpe is pretty expensive, but the shocking part for me is the prices in surrounding towns. Lansford, Coaldale, Nesquehoning… these are all old coal towns with nothing going on and an abysmal school district (this is my hometown area & my family is still there). Prices should be super low in most of Carbon county.
