I need to take the ALEK test for placement and I was wanting to refresh on some of my math skills before taking it (haven’t had math in HS since last semester). I wasn’t sure whether the test includes mainly calculus, pre-calc, geometry etc. or is it a combo of them all. I’m pretty good at math but need to brush up on my formulas. I completed college prep calc at my high school and did well in it (yes I know that I’m not required to take the ALEK test after completing calc in HS but I’m required to as part of a program I am in).
So far my study plans are to complete pre-calc and calc final study guides that I asked my teacher for. Let me know if you have any advice.
Also, I’d rather not cheat, if I wanted to cheat I wouldn’t go through the process of writing this post. Not trying to get thrown into a class that’s too hard for me.
