Post Body

I got accepted into the world campus for grad school last month and submitted my fafsa the same day. I was just notified by the financial aid office that they won’t offer me a financial aid offer until I accept my acceptance offer. I told her that other schools have given me financial aid offers without me accepting their acceptance letters. I also told her I’m not in a financial place to accept my admissions offer without having documentation that I’ll receive sufficient financial aid, and she said too bad I have to accept to get a financial aid offer. Is this normal or has anyone had a similar experience? I thought financial aid offers were made to help prospective students make a decision on which school to accept. Penn state is my first choice, but I’m getting a bit of a red flag here.
