PF PT works (+my healing journey)

Hey, 31m here. I’ve been dealing with Prostatitis / PFD for almost two years now. I’ve had ups and downs and have dealt with horrible flare ups. I’ve been in physical therapy for I think almost 2-3 months and can say it actually works, I’m way better now than the place I was before therapy. Still I think I’m at 60%-70%.

Some of my symptoms: bladder pain/discomfort (all the time), constipation (sometimes), weak erections and low libido (usually), pelvic pain (perineum, lower abs), testicular pain (mainly after ejaculating), etc.

PF PT focused on: abs massage with heat and internal work with trigger points release (we found two trigger points, one of them hurts like hell and even after therapy they’re still there)

PF PT at home: I started using a dilator, mainly stretching and trying to release the mf trigger point. I started with a regular sized and then have used bigger ones over time (it has made a difference). I think doing the internal work is what actually works the best, once you learn a couple of things from your PT.

Frequency: I did 10 PF PT sessions (twice a week) and about 1-2 times at home, now going up to 3-4 days a week.

Results: bladder pain/discomfort (got better, still there), constipation (got better), weak erections and low libido (totally changed, way better and morning woods are back), pelvic pain (a lot better, it usually comes back but is manageable), testicular pain (sometimes).

I’m pretty sure this is going to be a long journey but just wanted to share so I know it can help some of you.

Extra: physical therapy is for me one part of recovery. Main thing is diet and trying to reduce stress (I fail at that last one). Additionally: take 2 pills of saw palmetto and 1 of magnesium daily and heat pads / hot showers at least 3 times a week.
