Is it related to nerve damage?

I have had PFD for a few months now, but I still don't know what is going on in there. I have been reading some comments and it seems to be related to adjacent nerves to the PF.

The symptoms directly related to PF i pelvic pain especially when I urinate too many times a day, tension, some burning, spasms when I stand up or sit down, and what I consider a bit more serious: numbness and pain from the knee to the foot (rarely happens when I'm sitting while "holding" urine for a long time). Could it be related to nerve compression, or is stopping off blood flow?

My therapist diagnosed me with "hypertonic PF" but surely it must be affecting something else internally? Does anyone know what it could be?
