Clarification for pelvic floor exercises

Hello as the title states just need some clarification. I was unable to find any posts that address my particular concern.
I have no issues with doing normal kegels. I can even feeling the different muscles in the pelvic floor during them. However, when I do reverse kegels, all I feel is a stretching around my anus. I don't feel anything anywhere else except maybe a little in my lower abdomen.
Is this normal? Should I be feeling something in the muscles I feel during a normal kegel?
