I had laparoscopic excision of bowel and bladder endometriosis 4 weeks ago. It's possible I have interstitial cystitis (IC) and a GI infection or dysbiosis. It'll be a few weeks before I can start PT. IC can only be ruled in after I'm done healing and do quite a bit of PT. Adenomyosis can also only be ruled out 3-6 months out since the only 100% accurate way is biopsy via hysterectomy.
My first SIBO test was positive with lactulose but negative with glucose. Ruled out celiac disease, normal skin prick allergies, PCOS, UTI's. I'm still pretty bloated so it's hard to tell what's inflammation, swelling, or GI problems. It builds throughout the day.
Picked up the books mentioned here and read a book on Endo Recovery and start an anti-inflammatory diet (no gluten, soy, dairy, processed or artificial foods, and limited natural sugar in fruits and veg).
What other GI illnesses did you test for/rule out? Could this all just be Endo and hypertonic pelvic muscles? What kind of doctors did you seek out?
I'm on hydromorphone for pain with muscle relaxers. Obviously it's making my constipation, pain, and PFD worse but I'm at a constant 6/10 with it. Being at my 8/10 is horrifying. Trying to get my doctors to help with pain management is like pulling teeth. Looking for a pain management specialist. I was on Gabapentin 300mg/day for a week with muscle relaxers and barely touched the opioids. Sadly OTC is out because of my blood thinner and a tolernce to Tylenol. Ibuprofen used to help but only at max dose.
I'm doing stretches, foam rolling, breathing, and meditation exercises to deliberately try to relax things.
