Hey guys so my symptoms have been really improving ever since I have been putting in the work and going to pt for two months. I tried going back to the gym and doing push and pull day but I noticed I would have a flare up of my symptoms and pain during my workout and a day after as well. I used to lift super heavy in the gym for 4 years prior to getting pfd and have gained so much muscle and progress over those years I am scared im gonna lose all that hard work. Is there any advice you guys can give me so I can workout without the fear of flaring up? I tried focusing on my breathing but that didn’t work. I am considering trying just cutting my weight in half or trying different variations of my workouts. My physiotherapist said that I need to work on my core which could be contributing to this so im going to focus on that and maybe glutes as well? I tried doing my own research on this but there is very limited information out there. I literally need to lift for my mental health. It’s what got me through school, stress, and depression. I literally depend on it. Without the gym I literally can’t do life so if anyone who has pfd and lifts weights can offer advice that would be amazing 🙂.
