Post Body

Just wanted to put out there this conceptual understanding of what nerve related pain is. Nociceptive is muscles and tissues, neuropathy is injury to the nerve itself, including irritation, and peripheral sensitization is changes to the cell membrane itself in pudendal nerves and the neighboring ganglion nerves. Finally central sensitization is top down and brain and spine related. this has been a PSA about what to google.

All these pains respond differently too. Neuropathic doesn’t respond to Aleve or opiates like Kratom. I feel a bit silly for going heavy on these, knowing now. Those are for nociceptive, i don’t know about central or peripheral sensitization. Opiates slow nerve healing time in rats too.

I got the ganglion impar block which is supposed to address part of the peripheral sensitivity. Hasn’t been so helpful two weeks in now. Too bad. Pudendal nerve block didn’t work either which is wonky. its Just a big puzzle. You have to collect the pieces one at a time.
