Exercises to help with possible pelvic floor tightness?

35f looking for some help. Originally I was diagnosed with Interstitial cystitis. Then I recently went to a specialist who says he doesn’t believe I have IC. I’m trying to narrow things down but it’s hard because I have no health insurance at this time. Was hoping maybe someone with similar symptoms could enlighten me.

I have what I’m believing to be tight pelvic floor muscles when I have any sort of sexual release. It’s worse when it’s penetrative sex, but even if I masterbate without penetration, I have this pain afterwards.

The pain is in my right side of vaginal canal, and have confirmed with gyno it isn’t abrasions or cysts.

Pain worsens around my period. Helps to sit on a heating pad. Have been trying reverse kegels and they do help but I can’t lay in bed for days after having sex just to feel better. I usually will take an azo, because I get an urge to pee even though there is no infection every time. It helps to sit on the toilet and drink water and release urine. When I focus on this, I believe I’m focusing on my pelvic floor pushing downward, like during the reverse kegels.

It’s very frustrating because I’m in agony after sex and I love my husband and we want to start trying for kids within the year. I don’t want this to be an anxiety on top of it.

Does this sound like PFD? Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any recommendations for exercises I can be doing. I’m tired of being incapacitated just because I’m intimate with my husband, and he starts to feel guilt that I’m in pain, despite knowing it’s medically based.

Recommendations would be great, as well as curious if anyone has recommendations for findings a pelvic foot therapist who works with patients without insurance.
