preparing frozen bloodworms
Post Body

ive got 6 peas who eat about half a block of SF Bay brand mini bloodworms per day. when theyre done, i have to vacuum up the remaining worms and throw them away. does anyone either:

  1. have recommendations for brands of bloodworms that come in even smaller blocks

  2. know if it affects the quality over time of the bloodworms if i were to unfreeze all of them, cut them into smaller quantities, and then re-freeze? there are 36 cubes per blister pack so id be storing the re-frozen worms for about 2.5 months in total.

the quantity of bloodworms will also likely get even smaller once i introduce more variety into their diet so the storage time might become longer than that.

ive had them for about a week and bloodworms were what they were eating at the store so i wanted to wait until they were settled to try any other types of food. im planning on getting a copepod culture and hikari vibra bites to try. they also all eat about 1 pond snail per day.

thanks for any advice you guys can give me!
