So I received the final piece of my build this afternoon - Gigabyte B550 Aorus Pro Ac motherboard. I started putting everything together and when I unscrewed the top heatsink for the m.2 socket, I noticed half the screw was still stuck in the screw hole. I unscrewed the bottom one to be sure and yep, the screw was indeed shipped to me broken. I immediately submitted an RMA request with newegg, disassembled everything and am shipping out the package tomorrow morning to send back.
I've read many horror stories about the RMA process with newegg. I'm worried they won't accept the RMA and I'll be stuck with a faulty board. Any advice if that happens?
Edit: last detail - I did make sure the item was sold/shipped by Newegg before buying. Also I'm in Canada if that makes any difference.
