I am currently buying parts to build a pc and just ordered some parts from a third-party (Aria PC) through Amazon Payments. Then I received the following email from "[email protected]":
Greetings from Amazon Payments,
We are writing about your Amazon Payments account. At Amazon Payments, we perform routine reviews of customer accounts with high number of payments occurring in a short duration.
This is a proactive measure to ensure the security of your Amazon Payments account usage. Please provide your explicit acknowledgment and authorization of your recent Amazon Payments account activity on Aria PC Online.
We request you to respond within 24 hours from the receipt of this email to continue with the order, otherwise the order would be cancelled with best interest of customer safety and security. We regret for any inconvenience.
Thank you for your cooperation with our security measures.
Warmest regards, Amazon Payments
I am unsure whether this is legit and, if so, what to do. Do I have to literally reply to the email stating that I authorize the order and someone will read it and confirm it? Or am I missing something in the account setting that I must set up?
