So I have an iBuypower PC that I bought in '12. Its been a really great computer but I think its finally time to get something new, so my first thought was to go through ibuy again, since I've had good luck with them so far.
I used their easy builder system and placed my order over a week ago. They state that it would take three days for them to build and test before they shipped it out, which I was 100% okay with. But now, they are claiming that covid-19 has delayed the build and it could be up to a month and a half before they even pull the parts for my system, I'm guessing its because they don't have the parts in stock and can't get them because of the lockdowns.
I would of been okay with this if I was told this during the ordering process but I can't find any mention of the wait time anywhere on the site.
Anyways I priced out my own build about a month ago and it comes to about the same price as the build from ibuy, except I'd have to buy windows 10 myself so thats an extra cost plus the little things I'd need like wires etc.
So I was hoping I could get your guy's input over this. Should I wait over a month for this pc, or order the parts and see what I can do myself?
If it'll help:
Is the system I've order.
And the only games I play regularly is World of Warcraft, the Sims franchise and Civ6. Which I'd like to play without crashing the PC half the time.
Thanks!
Edit: The High Refresh Rate Ultra Build from the site is roughly what I priced a month ago.
Edit 2: Thank you all for the advice. I canceled the order this morning and once I get the funds back, I'll place my order for the parts.
