So I recently helped my uncle with a new build of an MSI Meg x570 unify based system, and we're facing the strangest, most absurd problem either of us has seen in over a decade. The onboard realtek audio isn't showing up. Like, at all. There's no exclamation mark in windows device manager. Nothing under audio devices. The onboard Intel hdmi port and the nvidia add-in card hdmi ports both show up. I even booted into Linux and ran lspci l grep audio and lsusb l grep audio, and it only shows the nvidia and onboard hdmi audio ports. Yes, we've checked bios and the audio chipset is enabled and turned on. It should be working, and can't neither of us see any reason it shouldn't, but it just seems to not exist.
