Hello,
I purchased this second hand PC recently which had the following specs listed on its ad:
CPU AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D GPU RTX 4090 MB ASUS Prime X670 (Silver) RAM G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB 32GB 6400 (Silver) PSU 1000w Fully Modular Gold Cables Custom Sleeved Cables Black Cooling Arctic Liquid Freezer II
I could verify details like CPU, GPU, RAM, Motherboard from above specs and they seem to be as advertised. Not exactly sure about other specs as I couldnāt verify through software.
Today I had kept my code running on this machine which was training an AI model for an extended period of time. I suddenly noticed that my PC was shutdown completely and I couldnāt understand what was the exact reason for it. I suspect itās due to GPU load or improper cooling/fan. The fan noise isnāt high even during heavy load and it always feels the same, thus I believe it might be because of that.
There was this button at the back (possibly corresponding to the PSU) with āHybrid modeā. It was initially pressed in and now I have unpressed it. Was it the issue? Or do you think the issue was something else? Maybe power cable (check pic 3)
Can someone tell me how to stress test this GPU on Ubuntu and verify if fans and cooling work as intended or not? I donāt want it to shutdown in the middle of my training run again. Attached some photos of the machine.
