I have multiple PC's and want to upgrade. The one that this build is replacing is a premade Dell i7-8700 with a GTX1080. That box will be sold on craigslist for hopefully $100 or $150.

I also have another box that has an OK SSD, 32 gigs DDR4 and an OK power supply. that box also has an i5-10400 and a AMD 6600 in it. (the 6600 would go into my other kids computer).

I am cheap - and mostly play strategy games - but also want to play some games at 2k at 60fps on medium ish settings. Think Starfield at 2k and 50 fps is just fine for me.

Option 1 --- just keep the i5-10400 and plop in a 4060ti. (about as high without too many bottlenecks?)

Option 2... reuse most of the parts but buy this newegg combo https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16883360552?Item=N82E16883360552&cm_sp=homepage-pers-home groupbuy to upgrade to a i5 -13400f and bump up the graphics card to a 4070 - since pairing a 4070 with the i5-10400 seems like a bottleneck. And $239 seems cheap for a MB, CPU, and air cooler to me. Not worried about quality - so please don't chime in on the ABS.
