Finding parts to build my first PC. Am I doing this right?

I’ve never really played on a PC before, let alone build one. I’m having some guidance from a friend of mine but still isn’t much help. This is all really confusing and I just want to know if I’m doing it right/am missing anything/if I could get recommendations for parts. (Sorry for poor picture quality)
