DisplayPort Showing 'No Signal'

I have the Gigabyte G27Q monitor connected to my PC via DisplayPort. Something must be wrong with the port on the monitor itself because only when I have the cord in a specific position will it register the connection. This is extremely bothersome and greatly affects my experience. I've had it disconnect on me mid-game before. Does anyone else have this problem or know what I can do?
