New motherboard struggling to run 3600mhz ram above 3000mhz

I replaced my Strix z270e with a Tuf z790, I was running my Corsair vengeance 4x8 at 3600mhz before and can’t get it to preform consistently above 3000mhz. Was working for a while at 3200, and I believe it booted once at 3600 when I was first starting to boot it but now nothing over 3000.
