Any advice about esper familiars?

So i was thinking of trying out the new familiars deck with prosperous pirates that /u/xxdragon420xx played to a top 8 finish in the recent pauper challenge. The deck looks really fun to play but it seems like there are a lot of interactions and card choices I don't understand, for example playing 4 snap and 4 compulsive research, so it would be awesome if anyone had advice on playing the deck, or how to go through the combo quickly to not time out. Thanks!
