Not sure where to start building a deck

Hi, commander player here. So I’m wanting to get into pauper, as I’m liking the lower power when compared to commander. But I haven’t made a 60 card deck in 6 years and haven’t got a clue we’re to start. I’ve tried using my usual methods of starting deck building but I either end up getting stuck or make a horrible monstrosity that crumbles when I play-test it.
