I feel like the recent Viktor buffs have made the final node even harder than before, since it was originally balanced around Viktor's old, weaker state. Same with the likes of Gnar, who's deck was designed around the strong, all-imposing Gnar who was released, and since his nerf, that path has become much more difficult.
For better or worse, I don't ever see Riot making separate balance patches for PvP and PvE. However, I do think they need to rebalance some of the nodes when those particular cards get nerfed or buffed.
