1. Is there any way to speed up the Eidolon summoning process? I believe the standard is a 1 minute ritual to summon your Eidolon? I was hoping for more of a “battle ready form”, as I’ll be playing an elderly man who transforms when there’s trouble and he needs to protect those he cares about. I don’t want to all of the sudden be in combat and then it takes 10 rounds for my Eidolon form to emerge? I know I can keep it active, but I also didn’t want to necessarily be walking around as a hulking “monster” when I’m not in combat, and rather revert back to my natural look and state.
2. Can I use the Unchained Summoner class with the Synthesist archetype? Synthesist is applied to the normal Summoner on the PFSRD, and Unchained only has like 4-5 archetypes I think. Would it work to combine the two, or would they be broken in some way?
3. Are my feats still active when I have my Eidolon summoned? I know my Eidolon has its own feats, but I didn’t know if I still retain the abilities of my racial feats as well?
4. Are there any feats, skills, abilities, or other that you recommend for this class that made it more fun or practical while playing? Basically my concept is playing an elderly man who has his family taken from him, and is too frail and weak to protect them. He is then visited by his Eidolon who promises him the power he seeks for revenge in exchange for a bargain (as to be determined by my DM). So that’s where I want to play out the concept of him still being perceived as old and meek, but then he switches on The Guyver/Venom and goes full rampage. So anything that lends itself to that character concept would be awesome, as I’m sure I’m missing things amidst the millions of pages of Pathfinder customization.
