What are some good or interesting heavy armor options?

I am looking to play a 10 dex paladin soon, however upon searching for any information about heavy armors I was met with a lack of results. Anything found suggested not wearing heavy armor due to the movement penalties for only marginal AC gain. What are some interesting options or perhaps magic armors that a STR based character could used, besides the standard enchanted full plate?
