So.... I created a mute rogue for a friends campaign, and came up with the idea of having his feline-fowl (song-bird) companion do the verbal speaking for him. However, I'm having a hard time figuring out how to get this to work, because everything I find or can think of that would make it possible, also negates the need for the companion to speak in the first place. Telepathy, of any variety, might as well just be used with who ever it is he wants to communicate with.
End result I'm looking for, (honestly just want this to be a fun quirk of the character) is for his feline-fowl companion to be his "voice". Like, he thinks what he wants to say and the animal vocalizes it for him. I hope that makes sense. Any ideas I could try?
