Theorycraft: What's the farthest range at which you can hit a target with a bow?
Post Body

Title, but I'll divide it into two categories:

  1. What's the farthest range, end of sentence?

  2. What's the farthest range while still having a good attack bonus?

As a sort of floor to build up from, I have a build for an Eldritch Archer Magus/Arcane Archer where you use spell combat to cast true strike while full attacking with a composite bow with the distance enchantment to attack at a range of 2200 feet, with true strike providing a 20 to perfectly negate range penalties (with surplus bonus if you have Far Shot). Making that even better, I just learned about Acute Shot, which makes it so that you can take -10 damage in order to remove the attack penalty altogether.

I've been playing this game way too long to think that basic concept is anywhere close to the best possible, though, so I want to see what others can come up with. Can you shoot someone with an arrow from a mile away? Miles? Across a country?
