Tutorial characters for new players to learn with

Post Body

I am planning on opening a games lounge where I live and as such I want to run/host pathfinder sessions for people to play and learn (This post is only referring to 1e, but 2e and D&D5e/one will also be on offer but are irrelevant to this topic).

I would like to know from this community what the premade characters for learning both the game and also the specific classes should look like.

Basically the main question is, now that 1e is finished, what do you think should be in a Tutorial/Beginners Box in regards to characters? What would a tutorial Bard look like to you? And so on.

Specifically these characters will be available for anyone learning to play the game, will not level up and should have all that is needed to learn the basics of the class (alongside a tutorial adventure which I will be making a separate post for).

My questions are:

  1. Considering that 1e is complete and all classes are available, what classes should be used for these tutorial characters?

  2. How should these tutorial characters teach about races? Should they all be humans? Should they all have a different race that pairs well with the class? Perhaps they have a version of each class that is human and an additional version of each class with a specific race (so each class has two characters, one human and one a beneficial race).

  3. I want them to all be the same level, but what should that level be? As each class comes online at different levels.

  4. Assuming question 3 has been answered and a level chosen (I will update the post), what equipment should be provided to help tutorialise the individual characters?

  5. Should these characters be created in a vacuum, or with party members (of unknown compatibility) in mind? (I want new players to be able to just grab a character and not be concerned about party structure)

My partner and I came up with some ideas to start with but everything is subject to change and constructive criticism.

Tutorial:

Barbarian - Lizardfolk

Bard - Tiefling

Cleric - Dwarf

Druid - Elf w/ Elk

Fighter - Half-Orc

Monk - Half-Elf

Paladin - Aasimar

Ranger - Ratfolk w/ wolf

Unchained Rogue - Halfling

Sorcerer - Gnome

Wizard - Human w/ cat

Tutorial

Above characters get an Archetype each while the classes below get added as they are

Magus - Sylph

Warpriest - Oread

Inquisitor - Half-Elf

Swashbuckler - Undine

Gunslinger - Ifrit

Vampire Hunter - Dhampir

Oracle - Human

Every character has this array before racials

18 15 14 13 10 8

I think that is all, I will update this post with any answers and potentially any questions if you can think of any that would be useful to ask here.

Thanks in advance!
