What do people think of the spell Burning Sands? I am fairly certain it won't be in the Daily Spell Discussion for quite some time but I am curious if anyone uses it.

In my case it is a staple spell on my Phoenix Bloodline Sorcerer Lasair (check her out in my recent post). Either she casts it as a healing spell for what is essentially fast healing 1 for 3 rounds at third level (25% chance for fast healing 2), or cast it as a damaging spell to slow down opponents, cause a small amout of damage and allow her fire resistant ally to get in close. More often than not she will have two active at the same time, one heal and one harm. It especially comes in handy if she sees an ally go unconscious as she can cast it with them in the radius and automatically stabilise them.

As she gains levels and the duration increases, I can only see it being more useful.
