Dual-Wielding Shields as an Inventor: How bad is this, and how good can I make it?
Post Body

Playing an unbreakable goblin inventor with the armor innovation, and I'm going to dual-wield shields: at level 1, I'm using two wooden shields, one of which has a shield boss, the other has shield spikes.

Yes, I'm aware that this is pretty much strictly worse than using a shield and a weapon, or just a shield, or bucklers instead of wooden shields. But how bad is it, really? And if it's borderline unplayable, is there any way I can make it good?

Notably, my GM is new to Pathfinder 2e (as am I, sort of; I've played before, just not recently, though I'm very experienced with 1e) so he's hesitant to homebrew, but he is considering letting me double up the circumstance bonus if I raise both shields.
