There are people who play games to win against overwhelming odds and prove that they are the best. I am not one of them. I heard that this game was unforgiving on the higher difficulties, but i dont know how forgiving it is on lower diffs. Starter run is an Empyrial Sorcerer with plans for a Mystic Theurge, alongside a Grenadier with no longterm plans, Lizzi, Amiri, and Valerie - also with no current long-term plans. I dont have any mods currently equipped to course correct, and I'm playing on an Easy Based Custom variant with rules i dont fully remember adjusting - save that opponents have higher stats and are somewhat harder.
How boned am i, should i start a new run on a lower difficulty, and is the game playable as a challenge for low-level gamers without modding the story pcs?
