Disclaimer: I do not use Mods for various reasons. Core Difficulty / Last Azlanti Run
Greetings. I am currently running a Bard - Beast Tamer run and I am loving it. I cannot wait to get Smilodon summoning at higher levels. When I looked at the class again, level 9 summons takes over at level 17 which kicks Smilodon to the curb sadly. So that means I need to stop at level 16. However, the level 18 ability with the inspire ferocity is awesome with 4 to attack/damage. I would like my cake and eat it too... Summoning 1d4 1 Smilodon's that get 4 to attack and damage from inspire ferocity.
If I stop leveling at level 16 and take instead Paladin - Martyr, does the bardic performance stack with one another to push the level higher for inspired ferocity? If that is the case, would Beast Tamer 16/Martyr 2 work to net me that special ability? If it does not and I have to eat four levels to keep my awesome summons, then so be it.
Rest of the build: Beast Tamer Bard 16, Nature Oracle 1(for cha to animal saves w/30ft ), Loremaster 3. I would like to pick up two spells which I am not 100% sure what I would want to pick up but the first thing that came to my mind was sirocco being level 6 spell. The other spell I am not 100% sure on but the paladin spell that grants me cha to saves came to mind. Any other suggestions?
Mythic abilities: Enduring Spells, Greater Enduring Spells, Abundant Spells, Improved Abundant Spells, Ascendant Summons, Mythic Inspiration (if it works with Beast Tamer), Mythic Selective Spell. Leaves very little room for feats or other abilities. Enduring was first pick. Greater Enduring should be second but also would not mind Abundant spells for more castings of Grease, Glitterdust, and Buffs. Ascendent Element - Fire just for Sirocco seams a waste and better ways to debuff enemies. Outside of summoning in acts 1 2, I have been casting Grease and Glitterdust to debuff enemies Selective Grease is great.
What would you recommend? Btw I do have 3 other animal companions running around in the party and plan on at least one more to make Beast Tamer worth it.
