Hey Everyone,
Long time DnD & Pathfinder player though not overly experienced.
I've been with a Pathfinder group (5 players-mix of some newbies and semi-experienced) for about a year (play weekly) and it's been so much fun. The GM is very dedicated to the campaign and has clearly put a bunch of work into it to making feel rather immersive and does a good job at keeping us focused. We have a big mix of 5th level PCs.
The problem is, I feel as though the campaign is getting a little stale. It's relatively linear (which is totally fine) but battles are totally hack and slash and I have heard on more than one occasion that we should try to come up with some more interesting strategies. Our enemies aren't particularly hard (which i feel it means the GM knows we aren't being too imaginative with our combat) We have been leveling appropriately but i'm not sure we really utilize our new levels/skills. On top of that, we have a ton of money that we can spend, though no one really knows what to buy (outside of healing items, and some basic weapons).
tl;dr Seemingly stale campaign(mostly battles)
Questions: How can I take our group to the next level? What are some fun things we can do? Things we can buy? Other advice?
Thanks so much!
