So I have a player that is going to be playing as an undead in an upcoming campaign. It seems like it would be a really great roleplaying and story building opportunity with one exception: one of the main npcs of the area, arguably the most important one, is a Pharasmin cleric. From what I understand, Pharasma absolutely despises the undead. What I'm wondering is, is there any sort of situation in which someone could appear and behave as undead (negative healing and all) without Pharasma wanting then immediately destroyed? I was considering making it an extremely elaborate illusion but somehow that feels like it takes away the player's agency in their choice of ancestry, even if mechanically it would be the same. Would Pharasma still demand the destruction of a creature that looks and acts undead, but never actually died, wasn't pulled away from her judgement, and was not willing in this transformation anyway?
